Kate is a social worker who has specialised in the area of oncology care for the last seven years. She has a particular interest in the area of supporting young people and families following a cancer diagnosis. She has worked in government and community organisations in the areas of child and family support, chronic illness and aged care. Currently, Kate is the Senior Social Worker and team leader with the OnTrac@Peter Mac program.
Susan Palmer
Senior Psychologist
OnTrac@Peter Mac
Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Program
Susan is a psychologist who specialises in the area of adolescent psychology and adolescent development. She has worked for a number of organisations supporting young people and families following a physical trauma. Currently, Susan is the Senior Psychologist with the OnTrac@Pete rMac program. She has completed a PhD investigating the impact of a traumatic experience on adolescent development. She is currently managing the OnTrac@Peter Mac's Research program, where there a number of studies underway looking at the issues associated with the management and care of young people living with cancer.
