Guinness World Record Break

 2010 Guinness World Record Break

high-heels-raceThe Warwick Foundation attempted to break the Guinness World Record for 'The Most People Running in High Heeled Shoes' on Saturday 10th April 2010.

A fabulous day was had at our Guinness World Record attempt for the most people running in high heeled shoes. Plenty of colorful costumes, many moments of hilarity and the satisfaction of uniting for an important cause more than made up for not breaking the previous Guinness World Record for the most high-heeled runners. The event raised over $28,000 so a big thank you goes out to the runners and their supporters for making the event such a success.

The event was attended by Western Bulldogs captain Brad Johnson and former Richmond star Matthew Richardson, as well as fellow Warwick Foundation ambassadors and TV personalities Tom Gleeson, Scott McGregor, Rhys Uhlich and Margot Robbie.

The Western Bulldogs, Flight Centre, Kudos Villas, The Roses Only Group, princesschic.com.au, Scholl, BenjiBox, Velvet Cupcakes, Weddings of Distinction, CFD, Cheer Gear and Red Bull all donated equipment and prizes for the event, held at The Whitten Oval.

This event brought a stack of media attention on the day, we were on Channel 7, 9, 10, ABC and SBS news coverage on Saturday evening, The Circle, 7pm Project, 774, JOY FM, 693, 2GB, Mix 101.1,The Herald Sun, The Age, Leader Newspapers and MX.
